Just wanted to let folks know that there is a growing group of Fiberglass Trailer owners that are planning on getting together in Quartzsite in early February. Right now it is just a camping get together without any specific schedule. I believe that the date coincides with a hot rod show. I will let you know as we learn more about the specifics. If anyone knows the area well and has some advice, it would be great. Otherwise, it will just be a great time to meet and visit new and old friends! Doug

Use this link, then click on the Map of BLM Sites and that will give you an idea of what's available. The smaller green areas have always been my preference. Dome Rock has large open areas with plenty of room for groups. We prefer camping away from the events because the traffic in the flea market area gets pretty bad, especially if you go during the RV show.

We might be interested. We were there every year from the mid 70's till 2004. My grandma lived there fulltime.

Well everyone, here's what we have come up with. Hope it meets with the approval of everyone.

When: Feb 1,2,3 - 2008

Where: Dome Rock area, Quartzsite, AZ

Directions: Aprox 5 miles west of Quartzsite on I-10, take the Dome Rock Rd. exit ( #11 ). If heading west, go under the overpass at the end of the offramp. Go east on the frontage road 100 yards or so to the entrance road on your right. We will have "Pie Plate" signs directing you from there. Signs will be posted by mid afternoon on Jan 31.

General Information:

Camping: Dry camping ( No facilities )

Surface: Hard packed dirt

Campfires: These are OK but you must bring your own wood

Generators: These are fine but remember, quiet ones are good

Showers: In town, they provide good hot water, soap, shampoo and towels. Cost $5.00

Water and dump station: In town

Markets: In town there are a couple of small markets

Car Show: Rock & Roll Clasic Car Show - In Quartzsite Feb 2nd and 3rd

Cell phone service: Talked to a couple of people out at Dome Rock area, they said they had no problems

We are really looking forward to this and the chance to meet all of you

George and Doug

We will be there ! Just bought a 99 Casita, so would love to see others and learn all sorts of new things from you EXPERIENCED folks.
To those on the Casita Club forum. Can anyone explain why I can't post on that forum. I did all the stuff including sending in answers to the 3 questions. Have sent many e-mails to the administrator and can't get a reply. I also notice that when I look at the member list, there are many who also have "validating" as thier status even if they tried to join many months ago. What's Up....THANKS and see you in Quartsite !!!!!!!!!!!!
