My Honda eu2000 cant keep up with the stock casita 1100 watt microwave at altitude. So I decided to install this old sunbeam 800watt that had never been used.. and it has analog controls! YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
There was a lot of unused space so here are the mods I made.
I installed two side by side magnetic knife holders on the right side. Left room for three kitchen utensils to gravity-hang on the left side. Made a shelf over the top to hold the three pots and pans I use the most. It has a one inch lip to keep them from falling out. The two mag strips hold the knives very strong... I was amazed.

The knife rack and utensil holder has an old thin plastic cutting board over the top the holes for protection.

I am planning on driving as is and see how things stay put (or not).

For you curiosity, this nuke has heat vents on the left side and back only so that worked out real well.

Hey, Ron - great example of "repurposing" something which was not being used and meeting your current (pun) winky.gif needs perfectly! Thanx, L 'n D

I forgot to add that I am not "at home" without my two indispensable Henkel knives and I have been wrapping them in towels and stuffing them in a safe place. So last year I bought two magstrips to see if they would hold them somewhere convenient. Well they hold like glue. No amount of towing will shake them loose. But I could not find anywhere to mount them in my egg... until I put in the little nuke and found a good spot for them on the "inside".
