I was just devastated when I logged on and found out what had happened. Michael has worked so hard to make this such a great site ... then I looked ... and our albums are all fine. Our pictures are as they were. All they took were the words and we have lots of those. aplas.gif

As soon as Michael gets the new program installed, it won't take very long.

Hi Suz -

I was on Google when the site went down. I was looking up a phone number to contact a seller on a trailer for sale, and one of the phone numbers was in a Fiberglass RV posting, which was catched on Google. It gave the whole thread that it was contained in.

So.................everything is possibily on Google, but it would take forever at one article at a time to find them all. Then its just a cut and paste to MFrog.

My wife says..."Norman, stop typing on that keyboard, I don't care if you do look normal, don't try to help them, just send them money, and they won't know your a moron, now get me another beer."

So.................da check is in the mail. Thanks for a great site Michael.

My guess is that the caching was done by Norman's browser - Google just stores a link, and visiting a link that you have already visited means that your browser shows the content from its cache.

This does raise the possibility that some of us have significant FiberglassRV content stored - as browser cache content or manually saved copies - and could re-post it. Since the original forum structure is not in place, and I don't want to make work for Michael or the administrators by posting a bunch of stuff which would later need resorting, I'm not sure how much to attempt to post, especially before Michael has a chance to update forum software.

Thanks Brian. I'm suggesting that we NOT start restoring stuff just yet. We need to give Michael a chance to do what he needs to do first and then follow his lead about anything we may have archived. And, the site is still vulnerable to attack 80.gif Although I think this particular hacker has probably moved on ...we don't need to double or triple the work just yet 53.gif

OK, i give up...what is the OKRA thread about? ask.gif ask.gif ask.gif
Donna D.
Norm, it was the looooooongest topic on the forum. The threads went on for about 29 pages. Either you love or hate Okra. It was a totally unpretentious topic that everyone could agree or disagree on and no one's feelings could ever be hurt...I mean, it's just a VEGETABLE 33.gif

A wonderful, tasty, delectable vegetable ( just a vegetable---HA!) that some of us dearly love. I prefer it boiled with butter and salt and pepper. Cut em about 2 inches long, cook em up, slip em down and life is good. 94.gif

If fact, I did a Google search on OKRA and found a ton of info. There's even an OKRA festival in Irmo, South Carolina: See below.

Official Opening of Okra Strut 2005 - A street dance will highlight the evening. The Men of Distinction will play from 7:00pm - 8:30pm and be followed by the Voltage Brothers from 9:00pm - 11:00pm. Midlands Public Safety Officers will compete in Wachovia's Okra-Eating Contest. There will be plenty of food, rides and, of course, fried okra.

It was in September and I missed it. Oh well, maybe next year.
