We looked around at various antenna options and found this Winegard RS-1500 series omnidirectional type. Mounting involved drilling 4 mounting holes and one larger for the coax-lead to pass into the interior. While I was at it I made a small aluminum bracket to clamp the coax-wire. This antenna is a power boosted type and does a fair job at pulling in the signal. The whole setup cost me $69 + shipping.

I bought online at solidsignal.com. $64 + shipping. There is a larger model (RS-2000 roadstar) with more signal gain but bigger, heavier and a more $. These units do an adequate job of picking up a signal. Here in the Seattle area we can pull in 2-3 channels where with rabbit ears we could barely get 1 channel. Evan

The strain relief bracket for the coaxial cable is a very nice touch - it should keep the cable from shifting in the entry hole and thus help the seal to survive, as well as preventing problems with the cable being damaged by bending at the hole.
