The previous owner of my Scamp had added wooden shelves to the closet. The upright supports were actually cut down hockey sticks! (Well, it was registered in Quebec...)

While I had the trailer gutted, I went ahead and repainted the closet, using a spray-on white paint.

Once I had re-lined the trailer and replaced the closet rivets, I added shelves. I put wall-hanging shelf supports on the side walls, then placed small shelf holders in the slots and rested the coated-wire closet shelving, cut to size, on the supports.

I bought a cart-on-wheels, and left off the wheels, for placement in the closet. I placed the 'lip' of the shelves to the rear of the closet, so the drawers will open. I zip-tied the drawer unit to the shelves so it would not slide around or fall out. Until I get a new closet door installed, I am using a bungee cord to keep the draws closed while traveling.

I borrowed a hint from another poster, and placed snap-caps on the rivets on the side walls of the closet for a nice neat, finished look.

That's the type of storage unit which I used in our Boler B1700 closet; in Canada, this particular brand is found under the "Gracious Living" brand name (and probably others) at major chains such as Home Depot and Canadian Tire. While there are some minor variations, they all seem to be modular: each drawer is in a section of the cabinet which snaps together with the other sections and a top plate to finish it off.

The modular construction means that you can assemble whatever combination of shallow and deep drawers meets your needs and best fits the closet - ours is as tall as can fit in the closet, and is mostly deep drawers. Due to the curve of the trailer wall, there is still a space on top for more stuff.

I just placed mine on the closet floor, which is quite high in our Boler, so there are no shelves involved. The shelves in Jackie's setup allow for a mix of drawers and full-width open storage, which is a nice feature.
