Here's a picture of my newly remodeled (but not yet connected) kitchen countertop, sink and existing stove. I added a piece of Corian to the kitchen base cabinet after doing my own custom "fabrication." I was a bit nervous because I had never cut Corian or used a router, but I got lucky and made the right cuts in the right places!

That looks great! I like the not-so-thickness of the piece you used. Looks like just the right size.

Where'd you find it? Did you have to order it? How did you attach it?

How did you fasten the Corian to the fiberglass?

Looks good Chris. What are the measurements of that sink and the supply source. The sink in the Trillium was a little larger and deeper than the Casita sink, but I have not been able to find one to change it with. You're right, moving the sink to gain an extra inch or two is important.

Very classy looking. I especially like the soft, beveled edges of the Corian.

I bought the Corian from a guy on e-bay. He was selling smaller pieces, so I e-mailed him and asked if he could sell me a bigger piece. He said he could, but the color choice was Aurora (which I liked), and I'd have to pick it up....in Indiana! (I'm in Southern California) I paid for $hipping. I asked a couple of solid surface fabricators in the area...one guy wanted over $400 and one wanted about $600. They obviously did not know how to bid small jobs! I wanted to do it myself because I knew if I pulled it off, it would be the way I wanted it, not the way they think that it should be. I couldn't find anybody in the area who would sell me a remnant, so I had to resort to e-bay.

I haven't attached anything yet...everything is just sitting in place, but I'm going to use either double sticky tape or liquid nails. Not sure yet. I was so excited that I didn't mess it up that I wanted to share it!

The cutout for the sink is around 14 x 17 with the actual outside rim measurements of the sink being 15 1/4" Wx 18" D. It's a Blanco and yes, it was an expensive $ink, but Clete (husband) doesn't know how expensive. He told me to buy what I wanted, so I did! He doesn't read the forums, so it's our little secret. I bought it from Needplumbingsupplies.com. The shipping was free... I think it's model 501-205.

I'll make cutting boards out of the areas cut out for the sink and stove.

FYI, the floor in my living room is solid maple, and it is attached with liquid nails. (It was leftovers from a special run of guitars and NOT milled for T&G)

After several years, 3 different dogs and me.. it is still holding fast!
