This can be done with the Liberty floorplan on either a 16 or 17.

The beds stay 'down' AND you have a dinette.

A board was added to get to a 30" width for each bed (x 80" long). The boards hinge up for access to the storage. By using the rear dinette the feet don't dangle (in a 16). Or we set up the small table top at the front position so darling wife may have more 'counter space' while cooking.

Have more floor space.

Don't have to 'crawl over' when sleeping (well, NOT sleeping).

One piece foam bed, no seams or gaps.

Either side can be turned into a lounger with a stack of pillows.

We sometimes carry an ice chest at the back and it doubles as a night stand.

Cost about $25. plus the bed cushions. We had some old foam which we covered with 1-1/2" thick dacron upholstery fill and sewed up a sheet ($3.00 x 2) for a cover (comes off for washing).

The beds cut out of one piece of 49 x 96 x 5/8" MDF. It's the same stuff the Casita cabinet doors are made from but without the vinyl woodgrain finish. Easy to cut and sand. Hinges are household door hinges, flattened and screwed into the benches. Remove 8 screws and they can be removed and the Casita restored to the original 'Liberty' floorplan.

Another plus: No cushions flopping around during travel. Everything stays in place.

The 'large dinnette' was sent to storage (along with the original cushions). Cut a smaller piece and 'borrowed' the two post brackets in order to have a more stable dinette.

Don, that looks really cute and functional!

I'd like to see more pictures of people's trailers and modifications ... particularly the older ones! (and more of yours Don!)

I'm just in the learning stage so all of this is so helpful!

This is now our 'big' table. Stores as shown for travelling, or between benches for sleeping.
