New use for discarded CD cover. I just posted this same info to the Casita Forum but thought someone here might use it too.

In the very small baths keeping the toilet paper dry seems to always become a concern when it is bath time. A couple of months ago I posted my idea of using a tall empty CD container. Since then I have put it to use. I put a roll of tp inside, closed it up and put it in the bathtub. Floated and did not leak. So I decided to try to attach a suction cup to it. I used RTV caulk and it held for awhile but finally came loose since I kept moving it around. My husband drilled a small hole in the spindle and inserted a metal pin which was made from the metal hook that came with the 2 3/4'' suction cup.Now it sits in the bath floor of our Casita where I always have an extra roll if needed. To get it to release from the floor I have to insert something thin to break the seal the suction cup has on the floor. Pictures should help explain what I have done

I tried to put a pic of the complete setup but for some reason they did not work here but they did on the Casita Forum. Guess you will have to look there if you want to see one but at least with the pictures that did work here you have an idea of what I did. Keeps it clean and dry and near at hand.

I think your problem is that some of the photos have spaces in the name..........

Try again by renaming your last couple photos, please. I do want to see them. How creative!

Also, be mindful of where you leave the cursor before you hit the 'upload photo' button.

Even then, if you see that you've loaded the photo in among the text of the message, you can still cut and paste it. Takes a little practice.

I renamed this one so let's see if that does the trick. What a hoot! All this for a discarded CD cover and some toilet paper.........

Fabulous idea! And, I just happen to have an empty CD spindle sitting on the corner of my desk right now...

Another cool idea!

And thanks for your persistence on posting the photos. (I think the problem with those two that wouldn't load was the number sign in the filename, although Rick is also right about the spaces in the filenames wreaking havoc with some browsers.) The software for this website does have some quirks that other sites don't have, but we also have a great SEARCH engine, which counts for a lot (and will be even more important as the site continues to grow by leaps and bounds!)

Now all I gotta do is buy a BIG pack of CD-Rs... :laugh
