Happened again. I'm the only one on the south loop, about 50 sites, on a Sunday afternoon. This family comes in, tours the whole area and sets up RIGHT NEXT TO ME.
I must ooze charm or something.:reyes

I finally took my first little 'baby step' trip in the LiteHouse. Went to a family gathering 200 miles away, and merely stayed in my folks' driveway for a few nights ... but I did gain a bit of confidence, learn to hook things up, etc. It also meant that I could have the dog with me, and safe from the Florida heat during the party. I still do not have the correct 9-pin electrical plug on the van, but the jury-rigged adaptation is doing OK for now.

This is our first trailer, a 1984 13' Perris Pacer that came to us with the name Snowflake. We just bought it a week and a half ago (6-27-03) for a mere $500 and we're thrilled.
A previous owner had drilled about 15 holes up through the roof in an attempt to secure the carpeting on the interior walls and ceilings, so I've been busy plugging the holes and getting rid of the mildew.
We’d be thrilled if anybody could give us some info about Perris Valley Trailer Company. We know they went out of business after about a ten-year run, but that’s about all.

Stephen ... cute little Perris Pacer! Hey, start a new thread and post some interior before and after shots of your rig! Someone will come along who knows all about it ... but until then, I'd like to see more!
I also noticed that our fearless webmaster has added "Perris Pacer" to the ever growing list of our unique little trailers! Talk about on the ball!

This is our Jubilee. According to the title it is a 1980 model. It sat in a neighbor's yard for two years before I bought it. All the fitting were rusty, the upholstery was rotted, the roof vent had leaked and the floors were mush in spots.
I coreccted those things, added a porta potty, some extra shelving, a small chest of drawers.
It was a lot of work but worth it. We have pulled it from Maine to Florida.
I have never seen another like it on the road.
This is my first attempt to post a response. I hope it works!!!! :lol

Surely beat a shopping center parking lot for an overnight stop.
Camping in Percé, the water is Gulf of St-Lawrence.

A few more photos. :laugh
Pull out counter space.
The darker door was a propane heater but is now linen storage.
AC vent.
I covered the window with plexiglass and created a little vent window. It's barely visible from outside. I intend to make a vent out through the camper wall at some point.

Mark... Great little unit! I'm rebuilding my Play Pac and decided to go with the portable HVAC unit also... I'm building it into the cabinetry for the new galley, so you don't see it unless you need it. Does yours have the heater also? The one I got has both.

My air conditioner does not have the heater function. We use a small ceramic heater and it keeps us toasty.
I am thinking about building my ac unit in too. I want to vent it through the trailer wall but I'm not sure where yet. Also I will have to create a drain for water that collects in the lower tray.
I will be very interested to see how you build yours in.
I would like to see the interior of your rig sometime.
E-mail me any time tonniebird@juno.com

I've never seen an A/C unit like that. What brand is it, and where might I get info about purchasing?
Our 14' Burro has lots of windows and a power roof vent, but nothing beats cold air on a hot day!

Where did you get that tarp set up? It looks like just what we were looking for. Well, we want an awning, but that isnt going to happen for a while. Like maybe when we get out truck and 5th wheel.

Steve
The air conditioner in my Trillium is a Fedders that I ordered through Kmart.
Check out this link
WalMart Catalog
There is a tray in the bottom that catches condensation and needs to be emptied each day. I intend to create a drain hose through the camper wall that will drain the unit continually.
The exhaust can go through a window but I intend to make a more permanent vent through the wall also.
Hope this is helpful :crazy-ii

Mark... My Play-Pac has a front galley, and I'm planning on putting the HVAC unit on the left side, under the mini-fridge. I purchased a PVC dryer vent that can attach to the outside wall after I drill a hole for it. I am going to cut off a good chunk of the exaust hose (almost 6 feet long it is now) and tie it into the dryer vent. The drain I am going to run straight through the floor.
I was thinking of having the unit slide in and out as needed, but I think I am going to build the cabinet big enough for the unit to "breathe" and when I need A/C or heat just open the cabinet door. I need to talk to the manufacturer first to see if this is viable though.
I have just begun the gutting out process on my rig, so most of the stuff now is in the drawing and plannng stages. Once it cools off a bit I will go gangbusters on it.

Sounds like a plan. I will be interested to know how it works out. I am still mulling things over as to how to "install" my AC unit.
