For a privacy curtain and something to deflect the rain, this is cut from a $1.50 Home Depot louver panel.

Then found an old computer, scabbaged the cooling fan, wired it from the bathroom light fixture with a toggle switch and LED. The fan pulls 0.08 amps and the LED 30ma so it can run all the time while camping. :)

Hi Don- another great idea!! I beleive we own sibling Casitas..2000 model 16 ft Spirits??? Mine has the bath vent fan installed in the ceiling......was this an option then??? Perhaps the first owners had that installed when they went to Rice........

One week from today I will be awaking at Renfro Valley KY amongst some 60-70 fiberglass rigs!!!!! I can't wait for the rally!!

What a great idea. On my shake out trip I did find that one of the things not included by Casita was a -flatulation fan-, which is badly needed.

One wonders who at Casita decided on the position of the window in the shower. If left open it gives the world a great view of just what you don't want to show. :red

Well, not near as inventive as Don's and not nearly as cheap ($39.95 at J.C. Whitney) but one of the first and in hind site, (no pun intended) the best modification I added to my 16' 86 Casita. While spending many hours in anticipation of all the neat things I could add when I finally got to start, It occurred to me that in such a small confined space, bath ventilation might be advantageous. Another added feature is the white noise it creates, Loud enough to bleach out even the most extreme audible additions common to the use of the facility. Oh, it draws 1.5 amps

Hey mark, If you mean me, yep. I traveled for years in the back of my 86 GMC Astro van taking pictures. I teach in the Art department at UGA and the photos are what I do as my creeative outlet. I had converted the van to a nice one man camper. When my brother began traveling with me it became just too small. The casita was the perfect solution. As you can tell, most of my pictures are landscapes and many are shot at dawn or dusk. The Casita lets me camp where the pictures are. Thanks for the encouragement. I'm one of the lucky ones and just love doing what I get to do!

Both with your photos and the fact you and your brother worked out a traveling solution that keeps you both healthy.

If I had to spend any amount of time in a van/camper with my brother - well it wouldn't be pretty. More like 'day time' TV.

The Casita is a good solution. Sounds like you are having a good time.
