Hi.:wave
I have finally finished all the cushion covers. :ola What a job but they look nice, except for the one with the zipper showing. I will change that in the fall. Can't bear the thought of doing it now. Things are coming along with the painting done and benches etc back in. Next step is the laminate flooring. Hope that goes on without problems.

Congrats on your finishing the cushions. They are a big job, I have
the big one to go, the one that is connected in three places 76" x 48", keep putting it off and thinking upholstery shop here I come.
We have a 17 ft and there are all those hinges, corners etc to paint.
Seems like you finish one thing and something else next to it needs
a face lift as well, then something else. The list keeps getting bigger.
We also bought the laminate floor but not getting installed for awhile yet. Since we live in the country complete with moose mosquitoes, bears, deer, cayotes, and any other wild thing that wishes to wonder in we can do our first camping trip at home. At the rate we are getting done it will be fall and the bruins will be asleep.

Congratulations on finishing your covers!!!! :sporty
What a big job! Mine are only 1/2 way done, I work on them only on rainy nights now as the rest of the time I'm out working on the rest of the trailer.

But I was curious about the use of laminate flooring in a trailer. It is so heavy and doesn't do well with moisture. It expands and contracts at an incredible rate. I know it has a durable surface. Am I missing something?

Willma, We also live in the country in a small log home with the assorted wildlife but no moose and not as many bears.

Several others on this forum have installed laminate floors without problems that I know of. We are going to try it. If it doesn't work out it isn't a huge job to change it.

I installed a pergo laminate floor in my 17' Boler two years ago. I underlayed it with 2 layers of 15 lb roofing felt. It has been frozen over winter and heated up in the summer with no effects. We love it. I recommend a laminate in any trailer.

Al, we can't be good at everything. You are a whiz with that electrical stuff you helped me with. I can and have made just about anything on a sewing machine. I have 3 different machines and use them all regularly.
