Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know of someone in the Hamilton/Oakville/Toronto area that could recover my seats for a reasonable price? I have already bought the material and my foam is in good enough shape to reuse. I got a quote of $550.00 to recover including the piping but I was hoping to find someone who could do it cheaper.... Any thoughts???? Thanks for the help everyone.

ps also looking to repaint the exterior and repair the door sag if I can find a place to do it cheap enough, any ideas what price I can expect or recomendations of where I can get it done in my area. Thanks again.

I have no recommendations for your area. The only Ontario I know is in So. Cal...

BUT, Expect to pay in the 3 to 5 hundred range for your recovering. At least, thats what I have seen posted here.

I am going to redo mine. I am using a red auto vinyl and.. super glue! (Yes! My tests have worked.. I can sew for beans and this seems to work great!)

I cant sew anything but pillow cases! But guess what...Pillow cases and velcro worked perfectly for covering my seat cushions. No piping though. Only cost material and the few odd broken needles.

We found a mattress place near us that recovered our cushions with our material and even used most of our foam... They took our 6" mattresses from our trailer - cut the foam down to 3" and added 1" of a softer foam and covered the foam with dacron. Our total cost including sewing the coverings with zippers and piping .. $386..

You might call around to see if anyone in your area will do the same. This is a business that will make mattresses... If you have your foam, and fabric, and just need someone to sew them.. you might have someone near you that will do it reasonable.

Hi Lori, I would think that you should be able to find a retired upholsterer in your area or possibly a small furniture manufacturer the do the stitching for some place between 2-300 bucks......after some serious searching, I got a deal, I think, from a smallish manufacturer in Winnipeg of $500......fabric, foam,(except the upper bunk), and labour with piping....reused my zippers, and the foam from the upper bunk.....the foam they used was a bit too dense/firm, but we use toppers so it`s OK.....it was their choice of a beige pin cord material as a fabric that they`d been using on couches....not the best choice, but who am I to argue, considering some estimates as high as 12-1600 dollars......they were kinda reluctant but did the job, but guess they wanted to get rid of the fabric.........the job and fabric can be seen on my webshots site.......guess they felt sorry for me as the original quote was $800 with my choice of fabric, new zippers and new foam for the upper bunk....piping or not seemed to make no difference to them.....Benny
