The list of things to do is finally getting smaller!

I finished the closet door- Built it from plywood, strapping and paint! It has a palm leaf on it that my son and his girlfriend brought home from a previous vacation. I covered it with 2 applications of resin, it could use another but at $20 each it is getting pricey!

Next is the kitchen area, I made the silverware drawer from scraps of strapping, used bamboo for the trim around the microwave area, and built the cupboard door from plywood with a straw placemat glued to it! It is hinged at the top.

Next I built this compartment across the back, to hold blankets etc. The top opens but it sits just under where the table would rest so that the area can still be used as a bed.

Then its the table I made, and just a few shots of the back since I recovered the seats.

I didn't make a complicated screen door this time, just 2 tension rods and I sewed a hem into a piece of screen. It seems to work pretty well though!

Very creative stuff !!!!

How does the screen work? Is there a rod at the bottom and is that fixed or just used for weight?

I though it was a pot leaf at first !!

Wouldn't surprise us here in BC.

I once came accross a used Boler that had the ballasts and equipment from an old grow show.

Obviously computer skills aren't my thing since I posted a blank message! OH.gif

Anyway, there are 2 tension rods, one on the top and one on the bottom. The bottom one fits between the ridge that the door goes into when it is closed.

That is what I PLANNED for the top too and I INTENDED to make a big hem in the top to accomodate the space, but I didn't make it wide enough and had to attach the rods via eye bolts to fit the curve of the door frame.

(it sounds so much more complicated than it really is!) I just made sure to make the screen much wider than the door frame so that it can overlap it.
