I just got back from the Pick and Pull where I was looking for a couple of car parts. While I was there I took a look at a few conversion vans, to look at the interior lights, thinking I may use such in the Boler (when I get started). They are switched at the light and swivel around and I think would work well.

Then I noticed the windows in some of the side and rear doors looked roughly about the size of the side windows in the Boler. Of course I am going to have to measure properly to see if they would work the next chance I get. The nice thing is that they hinge open at the bottom and the curvature looks about right.

Has anyone else used lights and/or windows like this?

And failing that, what is a good replacement window for a 13' Boler. Are the Scamp windows available less expensively elsewhere?

Hi, Are you replacing the Boler windows to be more aesthically pleasing/ updating or is there a problem with them......many folks that replace their louvered jalousie windows with sliders regret it because you can`t practically leave them open in the rain for ventilation like the old style louvers......Benny

Thanks for your answer Benny.

Well, I only have one real side window anyway and I think it would be hard to get it real good. This Boler is basically a rolling shell really. The kitchen side window was removed at one time completely and looks like someone had installed an A/C unit there. Now it's been framed out with wood and a peice of plexi screwed on. Very ugly and unacceptable.

I wouldn't mind replacing with lovered windows, maybe from an RV salvage or such. I do prefer the look of the newer style I admit though I'm aware of their shortcomings.

There was a Boler at the recent Emily Meet that had Van windows. To say that it was gorgeous is an underestimate. The owner is an autobody person and everything was just beautifully done. Should have taken pictures.

Thanks Barbara! That is very encouraging. Too bad you didn't get pics. Love your rig by the way.

Edit: Er. ... I mean, pink is not a color I would choose, but it certainly makes a splash!
