Hi Everyone! We just joined this site and purchased a 1985 UHaul 13'er this afternoon. From what I gather we are lucky that this trailer was well cared for and suffers none of the usual problems found during that initial "first look" after getting it home. Am wondering where to get info on identifying the wheels (what make) so that we can obtain hubcaps that actually fit (the aftermarket Wallyworld ones from previous owner fell off while trying to make it out the driveway!). Also, what awning would work best? Many thanks!

Here is a site that should be very helpful for you:

Welcome, fellow UHauler! You've gotten yourself a dandy - probably the lowest maintenance, strongest-built FGRV anywhere. We put 20,000 miles coat-to-coast on ours the first two years we had it (this year not so much - too busy with urgent matters).

The UHaul website linked above is valuable, but I had a poor experience dealing with the webmaster and recommend caveat emptor. The manuals he sells are worthwhile, though.

Happy trails to you! 94.gif

Thanks so much for the quick and very useful reply! Found the hubcaps already at recommended site! We just sold our 26' gas-guzziling m/h and decided to enter the new and unfamiliar "teeny tiny" world of fiberglass pups! This is a GREAT site!!!!! Thanks again!
