A few weeks ago I posted asking if anyone had tried replacing the door handles on a Scamp with screen door handles.. Well, I went ahead a tried it and they work perfectly! The hardest part was getting the old ones off! I had to drill new holes and still have to make the old ones pretty, but the work with the original strike plates. All and all the new handles work great and they cost $4.99 each!

ALSO.... wanted to make the inside of the door a little prettier than the yellowed naugahyde so I used chalk board spray paint on it- will be nice for leaving myself to do lists!!

AND

replaced all the marker lights and got the new lens covers on the back!

Hi Jaye, I also replaced my broken latch with a screen door lock. Mine has a key to lock it. The person working at the big box store where I bought it told me that there are only about ten different keys to these locks. She told me this to remind me that they are not great for security. They only keep honest people out.
