A very minor mod...

I spotted this locker light on clearance at Fred Meyers for $2.79. It has a LED bulb that turns on when motion is detected in the dark, and attaches with velcro. The downside is it may need to be taken off (and wrapped in a small towel) during travel to keep it from turning on, but with the velcro, that's easy to do. Also, the light doesn't always come on immediately when you open the cabinet door; I sometimes have to shield it from the light and wiggle the door back and forth a little. The light goes off automatically after 40 seconds.

That is a great price as they sell the same item at CVS in white for around $9 USD. I put several in our house and have 2 to put in the camper.

Looks like a good idea. Try carrying it in the car for a bit to see how Much vibration it can handle. Wrapped in a towel won't let you know if it's on or not. One of those battery operated ones that you touch to operate may also work.

That's a great idea....I want one for the bathroom. I'm half asleep in the middle of the night and banging the walls looking for the light is not much fun!

Hi: The closet in our Boler is so small I can't even get in it let alone turn on a light!!! At home we have LED night lites that come on in the dark( which is where I am at most of the time) and plug in to the wall outlet...uses only .3 of a watt...

The inside is a printed circuit card with everything soldered on and a pair of wires running to the LEDs that are soldered on to another printed circuit card. There is nothing to shake loose so I don't think it will require extensive shake and bake testing.

I just keep an automatic night light plugged in the bathroom. It gives out enough light, I don't even need to turn on the light, to do what I do, 9.gif in the middle of the night ! Happy Trails, Penny
