I spent my spring break woking on my inherited 1973 Tote 'N Tarry. We installed new carpeting, removed the fridge for a toilet space and installed these cool portholes in the "kitchen". I can't wait to try some more things I've discovered from this wonderful site!
Thanks to everyone!

Okay, here's a couple of shots of the inside before and after my new portholes. The outside was painted by some friends for free using automotive paint. It has held up extremenly well and polished up even better. And to top it off, when we removed the board at the bottom of the closet we found the ORIGINAL sales brochure for the Tote 'N Tarry. The price? $1595.00, and was being sold at a Renault dealership in Santee, CA.

They do look like eyes. The nose and big red lips might be next!

Now you can remove that toilet and install an air conditioner, you already have the intake and exhaust vents!

Pete,
I'd rather replace the toilet with a mini-bar! Cheers!
