So we've decided to do without the front propane tank, (all that gas makes me nervous!) remove the old propane stove, and thought we could use one of those electric two-burner tabletop devices instead! Has anyone out there tried this? We could run the plug under the cabinet and to the plug near the rear-bed. If we were camping without electricity then we would use our portable BBQ for heating up water, etc or get one of those small Coleman type camping stoves that run on the smaller "disposable" tanks.
Can't wait for tomorrow (Saturday) when I'll have the entire day to play camper, and get out the power tools again. Aargh!!!!!

I would actually be more askeered of the portable tanks than the big system.

There are so many safety systems built into them. Stuff does happen tho.

BUT.... there are lots of folks that do as you want to. Just don't use the propane stove inbside!

We ALMOST always carry an electric bbq, 2 burner stove, kettle, toaster, and (gasp) an electric corkscrew cause HAY, ya just never know when you're gunna need'm!!
We use our propane only as a backup if there isn't any Alec Tricity where we may be campin' as thus we only have a small tank up front

Filbert, I just clicked on it and it was fine...opened in another window just like it was supposed to...try it again, please.

Pat and I use an electric 'hot shot' for our hot water tank and we have an electric hot plate as well as an oven and microwave. The A/c has a heat strip for chilly nights...so I guess we are an "all electric trailer".


However we can use our gas stove and gas heater and hot water tank should we boon-dock. We have only done that on our first shake-down weekend. Had to go to the park rest room for enough electricity to make coffee in our electric pot. Decided to use hookups whenever possible.
