Or honeyDO at this point after so many projects. We will have to think up some appropriate nickname for it.

My hubby got the Scamp painted and I must say after many grumblings about the color from him we are now both in agreement that it turned out cute. It's getting the matching whitewalls as soon as I can get to the tire store, and we ordered baby moon hubcaps for it, but with everyone leaving the parts dept at Scamp I'm thinking they will arrive sometime next summer...
It's VW bug green, I'm sure that there is a technical name for it, but that's what I asked for and they knew what I was talking about. We threw in some more pearl just because and voila.
Eventually my 47 ford truck will match but thats a project for another day, right now my pewter Tahoe will have to do.

We will be camping out at the Old Timers Rod Run at the Port Angeles Wa fairgrounds 7/13-7/15 trying out the new decor. It's the first time we will be bringing the trailer to the event that 10 years ago sparked our interest in the fiberglass trailers. We thought they were so cute behind the hotrods and couldn't imagine staying in something so small smile.gif We toyed around with the idea of a teardrop but there was NO WAY I was sleeping in that confined space. Needless to say we love our little Scamp! ----Although I have been coveting a 16ft, side dinette, front bath model that's listed in our area on Craigslist right now smile.gif
This forum is such a wealth of information and we really appreciate all of the help, comments, suggestions. Jackie

So you took it to an auto paint shop?
Sharon Herman
Yes, please share where you had that fabulous paint job done....did you have to give up your first born for it?? I seem to be close to you....

Giving up the firstborn is close---I married the guy!

My husband's second "job" is at a friends autobody shop where he has been tinkering with hotrods since high school. Among his many other talents he's a great paint/body man!

Had I known previously that you could get a lovely shiny finish with a roller as in some recent posts I may have gone that route---but I really wanted to be "matchy matchy" with my truck.

Hi: If I had a green Scamp I might be tempted to name it "Green Stamp" but on one side of the rear window... "It's not easy" and on the other side..."Being Green" 53.gif 4.gif Alf S. North shore of Lake Erie 4.gif

Looks great! Love it! If I may suggest a name

"The Dew Drop Inn"

Instead of an "egg" it's a "lime".

I love the color... reminds me of a granny smith apple... if it were mine I am sure I would paint a worm coming out of it!!!

My brother does autobody for a living... has his own paint shop... I am wondering what I would have to promise him to paint both of my Scamps... since I have already called in so many favors and the last time I had to swear I would be the one to change our parents adult diapers when they got to that stage in life (no time soon hopefully) I am not sure what else he could con me into for a couple of paint jobs!!!!!!!!! helpme.gif l31.gif

Very Nice!!

I painted mine a similar color about 6 weeks ago.

I was going for a darker green, but when it dried, we loved the color.

We've got a tonne of compliments on the color of our boler these past few weeks camping!

Again, lookin' good!!
