I've talked to the ranger about kayaking on Sunday and he recommended starting at Rocky Point county park and taking the outgoing tide to Bullards. This paddle trip will take you through the heart of the Bandon Wildlife Refuge. You'll paddle beneath the Coquille River Bridge, passing old fishing boats and remnants of Indian fish weirs. It should be a pleasant ride, about an hour, to arrive at the Bullards campground boat launch.
It might be better to start a little early since the maximum low tide is 12:54PM. I'm thinking of leaving the campground at 11:15AM after the brunch. The announced time of noon for the kayak trip seems a bit too late. Could any interested parties contact me via e-mail, at our site A-64. or at the Friday wine tasting if you have questions.
You need to bring your own kayak or canoe. Adventure Kayaks in Bandon that rented kayaks has gone out of business.
