Hi Folks,

Leslie and I are spending a few days at John Day Dam, just watching the barges, trains, fishermen, birds and cruise ships doing there things. We play on the internet and read. This is dry camping - there is one drinking water sorce (drinking fountain) and restrooms. It is FREE CAMPING here. A bit windy, but nice and peaceful! The locks are very interesting, as is the fish counting activities.

Its the greatest place around! Have you gone towards Portland or are you on your way east?

Great area for sightseeing! I liked Sam Hill's replica of Stonehenge, which is on the WA side near The Dalles, I think. We missed the real thing whilst in England, as it is not convenient to visit.

If you want to view a full panorama of Stonehenge II, you will have to go to the Casita Club forum, as it is the only forum that allowed me to upload a small *.MOV (QuickTime file) file of the full Panorama of our visit.

Click on the reduced Stonehenge II *.MOV file and use your mouse button to move the window left or right. The farther left or right you move it, the faster it will revolve. The plus and minus buttons zoom in or out.
