Here is the interior as I bought it.

It was a little dark, so I lightened the paint and made new curtains, and put in carpeting. Here's the curtain fabric closeup.

I removed two drawers under the icebox and inserted the microwave into that space (had to enlarge the opening very slightly.) Then I cut down one drawer and fastened it back up above the microwave as a little cubby for storage. The microwave sits nice and tight and didn't budge during today's trip.

Here it is with the bed made (the way I will usually keep it.) When I get the cushions redone I will do the last two feet as a dinette and sleep crossways (it is plenty wide.) I put a 2 inch memory foam cushion on it and it is very comfy.

Bobbie:
What brand and model of microwave did you get that fit right in? I'm planning on putting a microwave there in my Compact Jr. (very similar floor plan).

Well, it didn't fit right in. I bought the smallest one I could find; it was about 18 inches wide, and the opening was half an inch too narrow. Here's what we did: first, cut the divider between the two drawers out. Second, enlarge the opening by about half an inch cut off the front (left) side. Install two pieces of plywood parallel to the original slide for the bottom drawer so that they would support the feet of the microwave. Slide the microwave in, then install the cut-down drawer over it. Installed some trim strips in front which keep it from sliding forward as well as making it look better.

I also discovered on the maiden trip that when I go on curvy mountain roads, the microwave slid back (not out, but out of place towards the back) so I need to put something behind it to keep it from sliding.

The microwave itself came from Target, but that size is readily available at Walmart, Target, etc.
