Hello Everyone.
We just stopped off at the park as we were heading North from California. We stayed in site A42. In the corner behind the fire pit there was a well traveled hole in the brush. Once we started the fire and started roasting smores a healthy racoon came out of the hole for dinner! We found that he will eat buttered popcorn but had a strong preference for marshmallows.

He was well behaved and must have been working the tourists for a long time. He was relaxed enough walk right up and wait for his dinner.

My wife wasn't excited to see him. I think she is still holding a grudge from this Summer when his distant cousins ate our whole garden.

See you soon,
Nolan

He has been a hell raiser for a long time. He hangs in B Loop as well.

I have his claw marks permanently imbedded in the hood of my Jeep. Long story, but when you ask your friends to take the garbage to the dumpster, make sure it actually happens!

The rangers told me that. Black bear has been hanging around the campground too - a couple sitings as recently as the 10th. So, yes - very advisable to watch your trash!

All the hounds and I've seen so far are bunnies and a deer.

See y'all soon (we've been here since Sat).
