Full Version: Trailers in the Bushes

I saw an abandoned trailer, at least it looks abandoned, the other day in NW California on highway 299 between Willow Creek and Arcata. I don't know anything about it but just noticed it "just asitting there" by itself looking awfully lonesome and thought about all you folks that find and restore trailers to their original appearance. Couldn't tell if it was a Scamp but it looked like it was either a 13' or 16' trailer and I'm pretty sure it was fiberglass by the rounded shape. I don't know who owns the property but I will be glad to show anyone where this little lonesome trailer sits. Marg in NW California

Just thought I would tell everyone that the trailer in the bushes that I told about two years ago is gone. Just in case someone was interested. This post and the two year old one can now be removed. Margaret in NW California

THANKS for coming back and posting in the topic Marg! You've gone beyond what lots of people will do (even those that have sold their trailers).

Wonder if anyone on this forums here found and got that trailer? Would be interesting to find out where it went 53.gif

I drive that stretch of 299 several times a year...I live in Arcata and have business in Weaverville and Whiskeytown. I'd seen your post back when and have been looking for this poor abused Scamp ever since. At least now I know not to keep peering into every yard and field along the route.

Aw, I got all excited when I saw that post! I'm headed down that way next month. Since my budget is rock-bottom, that's right up my alley--an old abandoned fixer lost in the brambles!

(Yeah, I saw the ad for the Wisp in Phoenix...hmmmmmmmm!)

This is just a thought....

Maybe we could have a sticky or a forum topic about abandoned on even neglected trailers in yards around the country. I would find this really interesting.
