Lake San Antonio Spring Rally - California, 2008

May 9th, thru 11th,
(Both Thursday and Sunday nights are also available for those that would like to stay longer.)

We have reserved the best, full hook up sites at San Antonio Lake over looking the Lake. There are 26 sites. The Park wants one check from us to reserve a group site and get the discount, so we reserved the whole area and made the deposit.

We have assigned sites (based on arrival dates and size of rigs) and have done the best we could to accomodate choices. Since we filled up the campground last year, we again got permission to double up on a few bigger sites (both rigs have to pay full price).

Here is the most up-to-date list of the site assignments. Notice: There is only one site available, unless someone has to cancel. If you are on the list, please check to make sure that we have the days/nights correct.

Payment can be made by sending a check to FiberglassRV, PO Box 844, Atascadero, CA 93423 or click on the Forum Donation button to use Credit Card or PayPal. Please go ahead and make your payments for the camp. Camping is $27 per night, per trailer, plus a $2 registration fee. Please PM me if you find anything that needs adjusting.

It's too close NOT to go... sign me up for Fri-Sun. Unfortunately I can't take off Thursday as that's our finals week "dead days" and we have to hold office hours. Is there a campsite map somewhere to pick a site?

We were able to get Special permission to double up in the larger sites. There is no discount though per trailer.

I think I am actually only going to be two nights- I checked the finals schedule and mine is at 8:45 AM on Monday May 12 so I think Sunday night is out, too.

Too funny! Glanced through the posts and got ready to ask you to put me down. Thought I'd look at the site list first to see who was coming that I might like to camp near (or truthfully, who'd put up with me and my dog!) and found my name and site already on it! Thank you!

We received notice today that the Bar-B-Que we used last year is NOT available. We will see if we can come up with another one.

Chris and I are in for the B-B-Q if you do it and our space is big enough to share if you need to. We will also participate in the Dutch oven cooking. We will plan to be up on Thursday. What is the time we can get in and or the time you will be up? We hope to leave around 9 am putting us up to the lake around 1pm. Does that work for you? This rally kicks off our summer of non stop camping so we are really looking forward to it. Ken and Chris Hildner

I just spent some time looking at all of last year pictures. We are so excited, there was even a picture of our future campsite.

Looks like cats are becoming popular as camping cats and Jerry sure does great camping. He will be very happy to have friends at Lake San Antonio. He always has fun with Maggi and Wes's dog "Rocky".

It's either bags or litter boxes... but the joy they bring all of us is well worth the little inconvenience.

It looks like all the spots are pretty good. Yes, Dallas will be there. I don't think he has met any other cat than Jerry.

Jobi (the dog) is very anxious to meet all these traveling cats! She loves cats and not for dinner, just to chase! She treats her own cat really well, only chases Samuel on occasion, mostly when he's spending too long grooming her!

We are not able to get the Bar-B-Que again this year and so we are rethinking doing that. Lori and I have pondered this whole thing quite a bit because I really enjoyed doing it.

We have decided to have a Pot Luck Saturday evening and then have “Movie Night”. Lori is going to have a Dutch Oven Cooking Party/Class Saturday afternoon for those interested to add to the Pot Luck.

We will have a DVD “Movie Night”, Large Screen (6 or 7 feet), Pop Corn, and a great time by the camp fire.

How’s this sound?

I have "The Long Long Trailer" on DVD. For those that like the more serious stuff, I am hoping to have "Into The Wild" by then. That should be good on "Semi" big screen and it has places lots of us know in it.

Want me to bring them?

Mike, the alternative plan sounds fun! Is it possible to show a movie Friday night too?

Gina, believe it or not...I've never seen The Long, Long Trailer!

This sounds like fun.

If Carol Burnett sounds like it would work - I have 8 DVD's - each one has 2 of her shows.

We love the "long long trailer" movie. I think finding some old classics would be the best idea. We have some like it hot. Or we could go with horror movies and all be afraid to get out of our trailers at night.

I'm not going , but I'd sure be interested in knowing how you get this to project on a screen...

I have a high powered presentation projector often used for PowerPoint presentations at trade shows. The DVD runs through the Notebook. Gina is bringing the Speaker system. Lori has access to a commercial popcorn maker. We are going to spread a bed sheet for a screen. You have to bring your own Black Crows, remember those?

I think Lori has the DVD, but we can work that out. And yes, we could have a Double feature or Friday & Saturday night. Anyone have cartoons, I love Road Runner or Wiley Coyote.

Mike, I think I can supply a real screen. The bed sheet sounds kinda fun tho!
