I'm a new member of FGRV and I also happen to own an RV park in Arizona's White Mountains.
Web site:
http://www.arizonahighcountrycampground.comI am also the new and proud owner of a 1999 17ft Burro. I would love to meet other FGRVers and see their rigs.
I am wondering if any other members might be interested in putting together a rally at my park?

Welcome!
I don't believe we have a campground owner here yet!
Depending on when, I may be interested. What do you have in mind? What is yur campground like? Tell us a little about it.
Any pictures besides the website?

My Father-in-law lives in Snowflake, AZ and is interested in Rallies in the area. Also, we have a member in Show Low, AZ that has been know to go to rallies as well. Keep us posted as to your plans.

Welcome to the group! My wife and I will be taking a trip 'cross country in September, and Arizona is on the possibilities list. I have bookmarked your site, so maybe we'll see you then! Burros are social animals, of course.

Hi Nancy,
Escaping to the White Mountains sounds great, especially if you wait until midsummer. I'm all for it. You might get more of us up from the Valley than you bargained for.
You might check the event calendar on this site to avoid conflicts with dates. For example, last July there were several of us Arizona folks up at the Oregon Gathering and plans are likely already made for this year. Please don't make us choose between the White Mountains and Oregon!
By the way, what is the Burro for? Are you going to live in it at your campground or are you going to take it camping when you're away from the campground? Tough decisions.

Hi Marv,
I've had quite a few responses so far. What date do you suggest? I am at my campgound all the time so it doesn't matter as long as I can book the number of sites required. We have 50 sites of various sizes but I would like to group the fiberglassers together. It would look so cute!!
The Burro is my personal get away - a "greener" RV you might say. I also have 2 Airstreams but am going to sell them and stay small.
Let me know your ideas. I am a newbie to the forum and haven't met too many FGRVers so far.

Hi Nancy,
When do you open the camp for the season?
We still have snow at the 6500 ft. level around here. How is the weather and do you have much snow on the ATV trails. What is the fishing like?
I am getting spring fever and want to take a trip soon.
Thanks.

I'll throw a couple dates out to start the ball rolling but remember, you can't please everyone. If you have 20 folks coming, you will have 20 best dates. Set a date that's good for you and let us know.
How about mid-June or mid-August? I didn't see any rallies near Arizona at those times.
We will likely be up to see you this summer anyway to escape the heat.

If we are throwing dates. August 15-17 is good for us. We have to come down the two weeks on each side for work in Sacramento.

Wait for me.......Wait for me......
I leave Hannibal, MO on August 14th. I figure it's 500+ to OKC, 550+ to ALBQ and another 250 to Snowflake

I could be there on the 16th at the latest. On the other hand, days are long and there's nothing I want to stop for in August so I might roll in late on the 15th. I'd stay Saturday and Sunday and leave Monday.
Hey, Linda and Dale didn't anyone tell you Snowflake is a long way from Sacramento.

, maybe even in another state. Or could that be Sacramento, AZ.
Any way, I'll digest the thought of swinging by. It's give my pea brain something to contemplate.

Hi Jim,
Yes, I will. I am waiting for the Rally to be added to the Rally sub-forum as a separate category and then there will be a place for a list to be posted.
Thanks,
Nancy

hey Nancy.. your place is close enough for the trip. I am concerned about driving in August heat across the desert tho.
I will think about this. I want to see your CG as friends that live in Chandler and I camp in AZ often. Always looking for a new place!

August is the monsoon season and most likely you could travel in cool/rainy weather.
