Hi everyone, this is my first post. I own a 1974 Boler that I will be fixing up in the near future. I was wondering what brand of paint owners have been using on the exterior fiberglass of their trailers? Also wondering if anyone has ever used Endura paint before? http://www.endura.ca/marine.htm

Gina D.
I used a PPG paint. It held up OK, and looked OK. I never really finished it tho (Wax, sealer etc) so it chipped in front.

Welcome, and good luck.

Interlux Brightside; I get it from West Marine.

Interlux Brightside fron Heritage Marine in London, Ont.

This couple used the Interlux and the results look amazing:

Trillium 4500

If you don't want to change the color of the trailer maybe the gel coat is fixable. Do a search on Vertglas on this forum to see how well it works.

Thanks for the replies. I think I might check out Interlux Brightside, can it be sprayed? It sounds like they rolled it on. (looks great). Could you use a high build primer and clear coat with it? Gina is the PPG paint a marine type paint?

Booker B.
I don't think it can be sprayed, it's too thick.

Full prep and painting instructions are described here

No, the PPG paint is a supercharged exterior house paint.

I saw a thread where Chester had painted a trailer with Tremclad.
Mabee he can tell us how it held up.
That is when he come back inside after looling at his shiny new one.
