I finished the new bathroom door today. It's a variation of a "panel" door, except it's central spar is a wavy mirror I got from IKEA and the "panel" part of the door are punched aluminum panels from Lowes.

The back of the door has a central oak accent plus four standoffs for a towel rail I have yet to install.

Other cool trivia: the old door (without the mirror) weighed 26 pounds. The new door weighs 16 pounds and looks much cooler! It's nice when it comes out looking exactly like I'd planned! woohoo.gif-)

Peter, you do great work!
You should start your own TV show, Like (Trailer time), or (This old Trailer). Seriously, NICE WORK!

The new door hardware has arrived and is installed, so here are the final door pics, front and back. I posted a separate topic that shows how the towel rails work. (Part of the idea behind installing a door with mesh panels was to allow air to circulate to help the towels dry.)

Peter, nice work.

Say, did you modify your loft bed to sleep length- instead of cross-wise too? smil.gif

Cheers

KamperBob, I just left Peter and Lynn at the NOG... they're probably not home yet, so I'll answer for them. Yes, Peter changed the loft and it's fabulous. Check out this topic:
