We had a great time this past weekend and we've decided to move the Fall NOG to Silver Falls State Park! We may go back to Champoeg someday....

You can either make reservations online at: Oregon Parks and Recreation Department:State Parks - Silver Falls, or through ReserveAmerica or call ReserveAmerica at 1-800-452-5687

I've chosen site B 41 and as usual will keep a park map updated and a list of names going for those that have made reservations. So, post away!

BTW: Tent site 99 has a driveway length of 59 feet which is as long as the electric hook up sites so the only difference is that there isn't electric. There are at least seven electric sites near the other end of A loop. Which is much closer than B loop was at Champoeg.

My friend Mark, the electrical wizard from OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry), has agreed to come teach a mini-course in WIRING ISSUES, sometime on Saturday afternoon. I am probably the only female Compact II owner with the newest, cutest, fully labelled electric braker panel!
All those that have questions, can email them to me and I will forward them on to him. He's a fun eclectic guy, do we know any other kind!?!, and will be great to get his feedback.

We got back from the great Champoeg NOG, unpacked, registered for Silver Falls, worked a couple 12 hr shifts then off to the beach for our annual family birthday bash. Whew. So, we will be in B26. Looking forward to another great time.

If you can camp without hook-ups there's still plenty of room in A-Loop.

Tent sites in A loop are $12.

We are really not interested in boondocking. I really wish the group had selected a place that was not so limited.

I noticed that several of the no-hookup sites that are right next to sites with hook-ups are available. Maybe folks will let you borrow electricity and water (splitters)? It would be a bummer not to have you guys there.

If you look at the map on the first page, a number of the sites in A loop (right end portion) have water and electricity... none of us have sewer. This park isn't like Bullard's.... it's not HUGE and the main gathering area will be in B 41 (yellow block).

You'll want to bring your bicycles. There are some WONDERFUL bike paths to go and view the all the water falls.

Mike most of us made our reservations last of April, first of May. The fevered pitch kinda reminded me of October/November trying to get into Bullard's
