I have tried to add jpeg attachments to postings but nothing happens. I select a file in Browse, click "upload" and get a message "uploading" but when it is finished, there is no attachment. What am I doing wrong? sad.gif

It doesn't display as an attachment until you submit the post.

That is, unless you use the "Manage Current Attachments" feature on the below-left of the compose window. There you can "add" the attachment to the post, which is useful if you want to put text beneath it.

Otherwise, the pic will display at the end of the post, once it's posted.

Also, if you have not resized the image down to about 600 pixels wide it won’t finish uploading. We limit the size of the images to save space.

If you're trying to e-mail pictures to a member, you are far better off asking the individual to send you a PM and have them give you their e-mail address. Then use your regular e-mail and send pictures that way... rather than through FiberglassRV. There are limitations on FiberglassRV regarding picture amounts and sizes.

Oops, sorry R&SGove - I just now see in your subject's subtitle that you're referring to attachments in email. When you asked about posting I assumed, in my typical rush to judgment, that you meant posting messages in the discussion forums. (I missed your subtitle info.)

Go with Donna's advice. She's paying attention! winky.gif

Moderator's note: I split RonSmith100's question, and several responses to it, out of this topic because his question was about posting to a forum, not attaching pics to email.

Also see Palmer M's response to R&S Gove's question, although he, too, was referring to posting on the forums, not attaching to an email.
