woohoo.gif Well, after 4 different mechanics I finally got my old 1965 Ford Galaxie in running order! It's first road test was to hook up my 1973 Tote N Tarry and take it for a little test run around the neighborhood. So far so good, but not quite ready for freeway speeds. I'm sure by mid-summer both the car and trailer will be ready for an overnighter. I'm sure my father is looking down and happy to see both his old car and trailer in such good shape and back on the road.
Happy motoring everyone!

Jean,
Sorry my private message didn't get to you, but yes, the rims and hubcaps are original. JC Whitney might have some similar ones if you are interested.

Thanks to all of you for your nice compliments, and to Donna for combining my photos for me!

My rig is still a continuing work in progress...

wow! First thing I spotted was the Galaxie! We had one of those when I was a kid and it was a fantastic car. The trunk is SO big we would sit in there to get out of the shade while waiting for our next moto (bike racing). Four BMX bikes and the family's equipment for a day all fit back there. I think if it hadn't have finally blown up (hard driving, countless miles, and thrashed well before it came to our family's loving home), we could have installed bunks in the trunk and called it an RV!

Enjoy your new setup. Looks fab all together!
