My son wants me to get flames painted on my trailer and I must admit it sounded dorky at first and now I just might do it...anyone else with flames I don't want to be a copy cat just looking for ideas....still thinking about it not sure I will go thru with it.

Brandy--- suggest scallops also, seems that everyone has flames on their rigs... It seems to be the fad--(just like belly buttons-everyone has one) Here's a couple examples of scallops. Then if you don't want bright, obnoxious flames, go to subdued (or ghost flames). Larry

You might consider vinyl flame decals--when my wife wanted flames on her car, we bought some "Tribals" from fastflames.com and stuck 'em on. Look pretty good. A google search for "vinyl flames" would get you a lot of sources, I'm sure.

I've seen maybe a dozen Flaming Trailers and have yet to see ONE that looks any good (and I DO like flame jobs....). I must also admmit the ones I've seen have mostly been self painted flames and this MIGHT have had something to do with the results. .....might I suggest GHOST FLAMES???

These are flames (done either in matching R contrasting color(s)) but painted on ever so lightly that they are usually VERY hard to see unless you look at them from a certain angle...... summin' like dis below...., look VERY closely at the front fenders and on the hood of the car. You MIGHT be able to see a burgandy looking hue. This hue is my flame job. So hard to differentiate from the rest of the paint on the car because the car is Cherry Coke Black. This pic is taken in Warrenton OR. last year for the towns July 4th parade. We were honored with a Mayors Pic award thay day....

This paint job brings a smile to my face:

This picture and at least one other 'flames' paint job appear in this thread from two years ago:

I love the custom painted trailers, not a true back to the way it was kinda girl. I found this one a while back and thought it was fun! I say go for it if you want something different! ................... These people did! I think this is cute, not sure I would paint mine this way but what the heck! Robin

I smile every time someone posts that one. Wish I'd thought of it first . . . .
