Do hearing words such as Sweaty Betty, Flat Tire, Oatmeal Stout and such start your taste buds to salivate? Then this "workshop" is for you!

We're going to do a beer exchange again this year. The rules are simple. Bring a six pack of craft beer, either cans or bottles, a lawn chair and meet at the main gathering area on Thursday evening (17th) at 7pm sharp. The idea is to introduce yourself to someone and use that as an excuse to trade one can or bottle for a different brand. At the end of the exchange you should have six different brands than the one you brought.

Join in the fun, bring a beer brewed in your city/state...it's a good time to show off what the microbrewers are doing in your area.

BTW: Michelob is NOT a craft beer

Count me in. Last year I traded for a double nut brown from Mammath Lake Brewers and I have tried and tried to get some more. It isn't shipped to Oregon and the stores I went to in Sacramento hadn't ever heard of it so maybe I will be lucky and get some more this time. So if anyone feels sorry for a poor beer drinker and happens to bring a six pack, besides their trading stuff, there would be much celebrating.

And, if you don't drink beer and don't want to "partake" in the exchange, come anyway. Bring your soda, water, tea, coffee, or whatever to drink and come and meet everyone. Popcorn and pretzels will be provided.

ABSOLUTELY. For the most part, at the conclusion of the evening everyone takes their newly acquired beverages back to their trailers to cool them down to that perfect temperature. We just use this beer exchange as an excuse to introduce ourselves!
