Our bathroom was not equipped with the optional small sink, so there was a corner with nothing in it begging to be organized.

A couple of plywood boxes now hold 6 drawers, three facing into the bathroom, three facing out towards the door. The problem of water getting into these items and their boxes seems to be not an issue after taking a shower in there to test it out. Some epoxy skimcoat and angled drawer front edges seems to work to keep the water out.

By scouring some catalogs I came up with Mepla drawer slides, full extension. They have little cylinders in them which grab the drawers 2-4 inches from the closed position and draw them gently but firmly to a silent close. So far they have not opened during driving, and I really don't expect them to.

The outside drawers are sized to hold 8 cans of canned food or equivalent each, and they make access quite easy. Made from "lenga" (also known as Chilean cherry), which is reasonably light and cheap. I like the color, so gradually the other wood accents will be converted to this wood as they are replaced.

Thanks, Roy: Norway, but my Burro has some electrical connectors made in Liechtenstein, and they are super products.

I believe I've seen these sinks pictured in either corner, but yours would work except for that the wheel well (when protected by a thin insulating pad) is a very nice seat to use for that 30-minute hot shower, with an appropriate water hookup situation that is.

What finish did you use for the boxes? How did you "blend" it into the existing fiberglass?

Steve: Interlux Brightside 4359. The primer is Interlux PreKote 4279. The match with the interior of my bathroom is pretty close so I didn't worry about it. At least for now I just used a white sealant in the seams between the boxes and the walls. The test is to see if the flexibility is necessary because of shaking and movement. If not I may eventually make epoxy fillets and paint over it.

Two coats of primer, at least three coats of paint brushed on, but plenty of block sanding (wet) and then a schedule of Meguiar's abrasives. Once the paint cures completely I'll polish it some more.

I'm gonna quit looking at postings from Per.
Every time I see something he's done it makes me crazy. HOW can anyone be so meticulous, so imaginative and so talented and STILL be sensible enough to own a fiberglass egg AND a nice enough guy to help out clueless rubes here like me?

Whenever herself checks out these postings it's, "...well Per did a nice job of that... why can't you?"

Thanks (I think) for the kind words! My posts are not meant to produce marital discord, of course, but I admit to a bit of "mod madness" at times. I find that it is quite enjoyable to see what I can do with this egg, so my list of possibilities is still long.

I will 'fess up to the real truth: Photoshop. Next time "herself" makes a hint just use that. Or, just remind her of my wife's usual reaction: "Aren't you through working on that trailer yet? What else could there be to do? Will it ever end?" (Actually she is a bit more diplomatic than that).

With this one, it's sometimes now, "Why don't you go out and work on the trailer?"
