I had happen to run across this a/c unit that they use in teardrop trailers. Its pretty nifty I think. Its pretty much like a a/c with duct work running in, and it has a heater in it too!

It only has 2500 BTU though for the a/c ... do you think that it would be enough for my 13ft scamp?

Thanks!

I'm not a air man or anything, but years ago we used a 5000 BTU to do a 14' x 20' room with no trouble... I would think a 2500 should do a 13' camper.... Just my thought....

I would say no. We have a 5000 BTU Haier AC in our 13' Scamp and when the temp gets up into the 90's, it struggles to cool even that small space. Maybe it has to do with the single-wall construction & lack of insulation, but I wouldn't go with anything less than 5000. If we ever have to replace the AC, we'll go with something stronger.
