Well friends, I'm stumped on this one. I've finally gotten around to documenting my body sag / door fix mod and I'm not sure where to post it when I'm finished.

Does it go into "Care and Feeding" because it contains tips and techniques?

Does it go into "Problem Solving" because I'm sharing my problem and its fix?

Does it go into "Mod's, Alterations and Updates" because it is an alteration of the original?

Just moved it for you Roy, because it's "Modifications, Alterations and Neat Updates" 87.gif

Thanks Donna,

I'm not sure how much longer it is going to take before posting or how many posts it will take to get it all up. I'm currently on my 5th page of a MS Word document excluding pictures. It was a complex problem and a big job to fix. Plus I'm including things I'd do differently to save some $$.

I realized tonight that I still have not taken pictures of the finished project either. I'll have to put the door moulding back on before I can do that so the before and afters look right.

Has anyone ever considered posting a sticky on each forum explaining what the forum is all about so you don't have to keep moving things around?

Roy

It's usually not a problem. Questions go under: Care and Feeding of Molded Fiberglass Trailers (see the subheading?); Problems under Problem Solving -- Owners Helping Owners; and changes/modifications go under Modifications, Alterations and Neat Updates. Where we usually end up moving posts is in the For Sale forums. New members who are trying to be helpful post Referral trailers in the member forum. But, even that's not a problem....

No big deal, but I would have put it under Problems -- To me, a mod is an improvement, not a fix for a problem, but it's really all kind of moot if one sets one's search limits wide.

Point taken Pete. I envision Problems.. is where people ask for help. Roy said he had a "sag / door fix" which to me is an alteration. Either way would work and yes, during search, you can search all three forums by selecting the main topic "All About Our Unique Little Molded Fiberglass Trailers" or maybe chose to search all forums at once. 53.gif
