Bolerwinkel's cushions are original from 1974, and waaaaay past their prime.
The folks at Scamp said their cushions don't fit exactly, but they still haven't heard complains.
Any ideas or input appreciated.
Up until now I placed a trifold sleeping pad from Costco over the bed, but that will only accomadate one.
I like the memory foam idea on another post, but eventually the cushions need to be replaced anyway.

Hi there. We made ours sleepable by putting our self inflating backpacking matresses under the pads and a memory foam over. Works great. Now if only the bed was bigger. We are working on that too!

Hi: Deb... We Scamped our former '77 Boler cushions with covers only(They can't ship foams to Canada) too big!!! The only fit problem was the Banana cushion and the upper bunk in front. Banana was a little long for the Scamp cushion cover (Trimmed with electric carving knife)and the upper Boler bunk foam only 2" thick so I re foamed the bunk to the Scamp covers 4". Al Stansell ordered the complete foam/covers set for his Boler and was completely satisfied.

I was using a Thermarest air mattress (the mattress on a couple of backpacker mats, with a sheet on top) -- Eventually, however, the Thermarest started separating inside and became a big bubble in one area -- I sent it in for warranty, but they said the mattress was designed for occasional use rather than as a full-time permanent mattress and I should have washed it more often (body oils had apparently penetrated the covering and let the inner parts separate) and was therefore not warranted -- They did offer to sell a refurbished mattress at a discount price.
