We had a wonderful time camping out in Goliad State Park, with my parents and Blair and Janette .
Went to Mission Espíritu Santo "located in the state park" and took the tour and also went down the street to the Presidio La Bahia and Fannin Memorial Monument. Its a must do if your ever in the area.
The place to be at night was around the picnic table playing rummy. While the kids sat around the campfire.
We also took a ride into downtown Goliad where we all went out to eat at the Hanging Tree restaurant, which was across the street from the court house where the actual "hanging tree" was.

Here are some pics from trip

Becky and I had a great time and made several new friends and found out how great a card player Denise is. She spanked all of us both nights. As competitive as I am on things, she made losing palatable. I was also very impressed with Phil and Denise taking our two grand children to the historical sites of Goliad to teach them Texas history on location. Their lives and ours are richer from the experiences of the weekend.

Phil and Paul,
I'm so happy for all of you to be able to spend the time camping with the kids/grandkids.... These memories that you're building now will be cherished, and surely passed along to the next generation of Underwoods.

Merry Christmas to all of you... and many more seasons of happy family camping.

Hey there, L 'n D

Thanks for the kind words. Happy holidays and give us a shout if you are back this way. Becky and I have been full-timers in our King of the Road for the past three years and decided to home base out of Odem where our son lives. We got our 17' Casita just for our short trips and have been quite happy with it.
