Is it just me, or is anyone else finding that their "back" button doesn't work on the FGRV site now? It works on all other sites I use. Just wondering...

There was an browser patch pushed out for all version of IE 2 nights ago. They may have changed some functionality.

My back button has never worked on this site. I just click on exactly where I want to go, such as the specific forum, or other area of the web site.

This back button problem was mentioned on this site a few times already ( I had the same problem) and this link fixed it for me permanently. It has to be configured to NOT "Show friendly error messages"

Thanks Joe! This worked for me, and it's the first time the back button has worked in months.

Well, the non-functioning back button issue rears its ugly (LOL) head yet again huh?
I'm on IE and had issues a while back, then without me doing anything, all of a sudden the back button worked AGAIN. It worked fine for a fair while then I noticed a while back the back was no longer takin me back (again). WHAT is causing the mildly frusterating change?? I have also loaded and used Foxfire but use it only to try accessing THIS site. I don't really like the 'look' of the site viewed with Foxfire. This is THE only site that I (and I see others as well) have 'issues' with the back button feature. Yes, I know its a small issue, but it does make me wonder what's up and WHY???
Ann B
Thank you it worked!!!!
(I did it!!)

In IE the back button will work if I click it three times. It works on the first click in Firefox.
Thanks for the link, Joe. That fixed it.

Joe... I did as you suggested and it made NO difference at all <frustration is setting in>

OOPSIE, Joe I have chicken placenta all over my face (What again??). It does NOW seem to work, but now I'm wondering what other 'ghosts' will come out of the closet because of this change and STILL I'm wondering WHY these 'back' issues have been re-occuring, with me , any way???
Joe Z
chicken placenta...... I Like that woohoo.gif
Glad to hear that the back button problem fix worked for everyone and the fix did not cause any problems at all for any other of my applications. (re-boot after the fix)
I can't take credit for the fix as i believe it was the owner of this site that first posted it.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone out here.

Remember too, every time you upgrade IE or get a patch for it, you may have to fix the setting again. Microsoft seems to be pushing patches constantly. The latest was to fix a huge security hole. The latest was to fix malware that was put on your computer if you visited some sites. The malware could steal passwords off your computer.

See these sites for more info about the malware and security problems using IE:
