'Twas on this very day, 25 years ago that the Trailer Goddess an I first met at a PWP Christmas party (PWP = Parents Without Partners). In honor of this special day, I BBQ'd a pair of 1.3Kg prime rib steaks, seasoned only with seasalt and fresh peppercorns. A pair of twice baked 'Murphys' remashed with a mix of mayo and garlic n onion dip and a side of kicked up Caesar salad was in order. The diner was also complemented with a hugenormous fried Walla Walla, also seasoned with Russian salad dressing and a healthy dash of hot sauce!! The 'side o beef' took only 7 minutes (4 on first side and 3 on second) to turn out med/rare. The feast was helped down with a grande sized bottle of 'Dom' of the 1965 harvest!! Candle light was the only other light (other than the beams of gladness in our faces) that bathed the dining table. Ahhh, L'Amour. ain't it GRAND????

NOTE: ...appended pic is NOT current, but the FLAME is still there!

Love the story!
Love the picture! (doesn't matter from when it is, if it is still how it is), thanks!

But tell me this: where, exactly, is "High Atop Iron Mountain, B.C. Canada"?

CharlyneT, its HI atop Iron Mountain

Hi ....from atop of Iron Mountain B.C.

I to have wondered where Iron Mtn was. For some reason wherever I thought it was, was wasn`t where it was.Oh gosh now I am getting confused.
So here`s where its suppose to be ,If it`s the right one: Iron Mountain, like most other mountains in the immediate vicinity of Merritt, is really just a forested bump on the Thompson Plateau, set off by the deep valleys of the Nicola River on the north and the Coldwater River on the west. However, its summit is more than 1000 metres above the Nicola River. The mountain is steepest on its northwest and west faces, and there are some exposed rock outcrops and talus slopes above Highway 5 (the Coquihalla Highway). However, the eastern and southern slopes are quite gentle. The two communications towers atop the mountain are conspicous from the north and northwest, especially at night.
