Looking to install some 1/2 inch engineered oak flooring in my boler over the plywood floors. Is there a mininum thickness required of the sub-floor?

Roger, as long as the plywood that is down is sound, then you can go right over top. Engineered floors, because they are floating, are actually quite flexible. As long as you don't have more then 1/2" deflection in 4' you should be fine. It is pretty much like using a laminate. One thought that comes to mind is weight. Unless you are replacing the axle - and assuming it is original - your early Boler axle is probably rated at 1200#. As we were discussing in another thread, that's actually "worth" more than you'd think on an 1100# (plus contents) trailer, because you don't have to count un-sprung weight, but it's still something to consider. I don't know how much the flooring would weight, all-told.
