Hello all,

I am trying to decide on a cool and bright porch light. I would love the look of stainless but I can't seem to find what I want. I have looked at the Bergman porch lights and that's what I am leaning towards, but i don't want to settle if there is something nicer out there. I would love LED or something I can convert into LED. I'd also like to switch it on from the inside - does anyone have some neat ideas or pictures. If you could also point me in the direction of retailers I would much appreicate it. I live in the Vancouver area (actually Abbotsford), BC, Canada.

I recently installed a chrome lighted handle on our trailer.
I put in a LEB bulb on each end,
and wired a inside lighted dot switch on the inside.
The centre of the handle is clear glass,
and looks AWESOME!!

I would have to seach where I got it,
however if you go to pretty much any trailer parts place,
you will see what I,m talking about.

The nice thing about it is,
it not tooooooooo bright.

It will give you a nice clear blue-ish light.

Gail, are you signed up for our semi anual meet at Ft. Langley? (Old Fart here suffers from CMS!! LOL) IF not, ya should be, or at least come look-see.

I'll show ya mine, if.... well, that isn't going to be worded right but I/we use a series of 12V blinking lights (Radio Shack items) in the stock housing. I haven't (YET) gotten 'round to add a switch to the inside of the trailer, but its not as if its a long walk to shut the light off as I go inside. These lights are tri-colored and as such do NOT attract bugs

Hi: Gail S... Our '77 Boler had a Coach Lamp porch light on it . It would only work when it darn well wanted to... and that wasn't much!!! I took out the old socket and mounted a 13 LED amber clearance light inside it and sealed it shut. I wired an automotive type toggle switch to the closet wall inside the door and it was perfect. The LED clearance light only used .03 of a watt but was bright enough to shine well at nite.

We lost the lens and the bulb on one of those good back roads near Medicine Hat. I replaced the unit with one from an RV place. It was almost exactly the same as the original one.
