As far as I know it's the only one like it. Been around for years. It's a great idea if it doesn't leak. I think Scamp should look into it.

It is kinda neat in a way.
Althou, I think it would be better if the bunk would be up front(like you see in most motor homes/5th wheels ect). 94.gif

The original building was a member we had here who's name is Frank. Prior to the hack of 2005, we had all the pictures and information from Frank on how he went about building the trailer. But that stuff is long gone now due to a creep who had nothing better to do than wreck this site. 30.gif

Is there some sort of stabilizer under the bump out? I would hate to have two big folks back there that might cause it to tip. Seems a bit unstable to me! Nice extra room, though.

53.gif I think it is molded into the body below the sliding part, kind of in a similar way the stationary loft bed is supported in a Scamp 5th wheel. This is a way cool way to get capacity to sleep 6. I think it would be perfect for a family.

I think the doorway frame and supports, plus the side bathroom prevented the front bump out idea. Since the entire thing slides in for travel (if I remember right!)

when I saw it at a fiberglass get toghter in KY years ago
it was a slide out in the rear he bought the trailer wrecked
and since his job was repairing fiberglass boats
he did a very good job on the trailer.
