Here are several more mods we have recently done.

Our new back support/room divider after removing the original one from our Casita SD. Bill used stainless steel rods for the support.

To help keep the trailer warm on cold night we put down puzzle type garage floor mats. We purchased them at Costco. We put them down over our linoleum floor and then cover them with a piece of indoor outdoor carpet. We then put down a rug runner which can easily be taken outdoors to shake out any tracked in dirt. We take the floor mat and the indoor/outdoor carpet out between trips and hose them down as needed.

I really like that range hood!

How much do the floor mats seem to help? I bought some of those too and covered the floor in the Bigfoot's cubbies.

Where did you get those computer fans? Would they run on battery?

Did you fabricate the range hood yourself? Very cool set up! exactly.gif

We bought the computer fans at a computer store. You can buy them at most any electronics or computer store.

Bill fabricated the hood. He used the same hi-lo resistor system to slow down the fans as others on the site have used. The fans are 3" 12V and do run on the battery.

The floor mats are really nice. They do seem to keep the floor warmer, plus they are squishy and very comfortable to walk and stand on.

When we first camped in our trailer after purchasing it, I actually had a nightmare that I was trapped in a plastic pipe. Pretty scary. Maybe because of the smell. Who knows. Now with all the mods it feels like a warm, comfy little house (Casita). We love it.
