One way it could work:
People can give a Post that they are willing to HOST and give general idea where they are (i.e. Central California, or South West California). Then people EMAIL or PM them to see if when they want to come through will work for the Host.

Another option:
People can state they are traveling through an area, and those in that area can offer HOSTING if they want.

We made this a "Sticky" so it will always be at the top of the Forum.

your hosting idea is an excellent one! dennis and i hosted alf s. and his wife maryann this summer while they were travelling thru new brunswick on their way to cape breton. we enjoyed getting the opportunity to see his rig, an escape, and meet someone whom we have chatted with on this forum. we were also expecting the chance to meet up with phil and steve, but due to their nasty collision with a tractor trailer -as they reported here on the forum--they were unable to finish their trip and got within an hour of our home before the accident!! it is wonderful to be able to meet the folks we become friends with here on the forum. works for us!!!

Hi: Theresa& Dennis...Once again we had a ball!!! It was great to meet some online friends and their friends...like minded fiberglass owners. When all is said and done we just arn't so different... are we???
We also had the pleasure to meet Ian& Jenny...owners of a new Escape 19'er. It was a tug at first site "Houdini" and "Our Escape Hatch".
Both of these "Hostings" are tops on our holiday trip tic!!!

YUP---- my place would always be open for travelers wandering thru Central WA.... We're only 20 miles off I-90 in the center of the fine state of Washington. Even have 30 amp service and a sewer dump in my driveway. Eggs are ALWAYS welcome.....!!!!! Larry & Carrie

Hi
We too would always have room for a travelling egg here at our rustic cottage in PEI.
It's across the river from Charlottetown and pretty simple, no fancy services, but with flower and veg gardens, fruit trees, and a big dog and 2 cats......and us.
Email for info if you're passing by.

I regret not swinging north to meet Larry & Carrie in person on our first voyage in our CJ last fall. They were kind enough to contact us on this board as we began our trek through the state and invite us for a visit, but it was the beginning of my first ever such trip and I was trying to stay "on schedule." That lasted 'til we got in the Sawtooths, then all bets were off (except meeting husband at airport in S.D. Somehow it seemed important to be THERE on time!) Next time...
