The newest from Honda...the 3000 Handi. A new design, and lighter but from the specs there seems to be quite a trade off in output, displacement, db's, and fuel capacity.

Not to mention the higher price. Less , for more money. Seems normal.

I sat down with the spec sheets and prices . Comparing the Honda and the Yamaha EF2800i, the Yamaha seems to be the winner: 100 rated 200max watts less, 2-3dB noisier, 14lb (dry) lighter, twice the fuel capacity, about the same fuel consumption, and, depending where you buy, around 1/3 lower price. Missing features: no wheels, convenience light, fuel guage, or parallel capability (if you need that, go with EF2400iSC's or EU2000i's, and Reliance parallel kit (either 30A RV or twistlock, as required). I like Honda, (own 2 M/C and a 32 year old generator, that starts 2nd pull, always) but Yamaha's pricing makes it a no-brainer.
