Full Version: 1980 13' Scamp for sale in Harrisburg, PA $2500.00

We are reluctantly selling our 1980 Scamp due to increasing family size. We have traveled many miles and have had many great times but need to make room in the driveway for a larger trailer.

Many items have been replaced with new parts.

New tires/wheels, screen door, upholstery/cushions, table, roof vent, fuel tank and curtains.

The Scamp is dry and does have a heater that was added by a prior owner. It is electric baseboard heat and has an ice box. Stove is in good working order.

If interested please contact Mike [at] 717-654-8273 or mwwarren01 at yahoo (dot) com.

I can email pictures or you can view them on Harrisburg's Craiglist. I will add the link after I make the post.

A gentleman came up to see that Scamp a few days ago and informed me that the axle may need to be replaced. It is sitting lower than it should and torsion bar is angled up instead of slightly down. I have decided to look into replacing this to make it safer for any possible new owner. I will repost when I have made the repair. Thanks for looking and sorry for any inconvenience.

You have a 1200# leading arm axle with a 22.5 degree up start angle. the ride heighth is normally lower than the new trailing arm 2200# axle used on newer Scamps
If you have excessive inside edge tirewear , excessive tow out or most important... excessive negative camber then you need an axle.

Here is a picture from the brochure of your camper when brand new for comparison...
