An Alberta ground squirrel is poised to become Canada's most famous animal after the creature inserted itself hilariously into a timed photo being taken by a U.S. couple at a lake in Banff National Park.

I think Lex and Rita are transporting this little guy through Canada and the northern U.S. after they found him in the Grand Canyon the first of June. He was trying to escape from that surly G.C.N.P. ranger.
