Hi, here are some progress shots of my 17' Boler reno.

It has taken about a month and a half of working steadily in my spare time.

Almost done! I will take some more pics and add them on the weekend when it is all done on the inside.

Very nice job. It is the same layout as our trailer. I am curious about the long "shelfs" that go from the top of the back bed upto the top cabinets on each side. Is that something you added for storage?

I am loving it. I will put up the new pictures on the weekend, so you can see it finished with the cushions in and the curtains up.

Dawn,
Can't wait to see your final photos... and the photos from your first camping trip. After all that meticulous, beautiful work, you deserve a long, wonderful trip for r & r.

Sherry

PS I especially love the backsplash. Nice finish.

Dawn, is this the "eek - something smells" trailer?

What did you have to do to get rid of the smell?

Thanks!

WOW! I didn't even know that Boler made a 17'! Are those pictures of tiles? Yipes! I hope they are lightweight RV types. Better weigh that baby when you are done. ohmy.gif

Congratulations. It looks like a job you can be proud of. slap.gif

Bring 'er down to the Washington Gathering next year!

Hi, I did not put the tall cubbies in myself. They came with the trailer; there are a couple features in this trailer that I think may have been considered upgrade features at the time they were made. I remember drawing that conclusion when I was shopping around and I saw this trailer, although I can't remember what else other than the cubbies there was now....mmm...

I will post the afters on the weekend and maybe we can spot something else.

Thanks for looking!

Hi Sherry,

Thank you! Yes, we are looking forward to getting away. We live and work in the city, and so we are not so good at really "letting it all go and relaxing" - hopefully the boler will give us a chance to bring that into our lives.

I am on the home stretch. I will post my "afters" this weekend!

Hi - yes the tiles are stick on! They are really "life like" - IE they have depth and really look like glass tile, not just like a lino type version thereof. I got them at Home Depot, they are called Smart Tiles.

I am really excited to go to some meets with my boler and really learn how to handle haveing a trailer and being competent at managing all its parts, towing it confidently etc.

When is the Washington meet?

I bought the trailer in Washington and imported it into BC; it was really easy at the Border.

Thanks for your comments!

When is the Washington meet?

Dawn, last year it was the first weekend in June. I would imagine it will the same time this year. So far, the organizer hasn't put any info up, but I bet we'll see it in the coming months.

Dawn, Your trailer looks amazing!! I love the Smart Tiles! Did you have to order them or did they sell them at your local home depot? Did you stick them straight on the ensolite or did you put something over it? Is your wood flooring actual laminate or the peel and stick kind?

Hi, I stuck the smart tiles to the existing lino backsplash, you can see it in the pics. I would not stick to the ensolite for sure. I bought it off the shelf at Home Depot, but they don't all carry them, so call ahead.

The flooring is Allure, traffic master, peel and stick vinyl flooring from home depot, and it ROCKS!!! We are going to put it in our laundry room!

Thanks for the compliments!

Hi Dana! OMG YES!! I am laughing out loud as I read your post! I don't know how I missed it. Yes, it is the "eeeek something smells" trailer. lol. Still laughing....

I scrubbed it, and I flushed the black water tank REPEATEDLY with bleach, soaked it, flushed it, soaked it, flushed it, then I STEAM CLEANED all the nooks and crannies with steaming wand. Plus I freshly painted all the cabinets and walls and ceiling with KILZ and kitchen and bathroom anti mold paint. Soooo, I am not sure which action made the biggest difference, but if I had to guess, it would be flushing the black water tank REPEATEDLY. Which is the yickiest reality, but, I think that is the biggest issue when it comes to the smell. That or dry rot, and dry rot is way more difficult to deal with, so no complaints here!
